This advanced feature requires a compatible screen and media player for playback. Users can still record videos with HDR without HLG for playback on standard screens and media players.

Wide, vertical, and full-frame capture
With the powerful 1/1.9" image sensor of the HERO13 Black, you can do more. Choose widescreen shots (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on a TV or vertical videos (9:16 aspect ratio) for posting on social media. The full-frame option (8:7 aspect ratio) offers a 156° field of view, which can later be cropped to create widescreen and vertical shots, ensuring maximum versatility.

10-bit color + log encoding
With the HERO13 Black, you have the choice between recording standard videos with 10-bit and log encoding with 10-bit using GP-Log.
