Description

Shorter and highly adjustable levers allow every rider to perfectly set their personal "braking feel." Unique is the adjustment of the lever ratio and thus the braking force. Improved braking ergonomics – by enlarging the contact area with the middle finger when the brake is pulled, the lever cutting into the finger is prevented.

Expensive but brilliant

I am totally thrilled with the new grips on my MT7. The braking behavior has massively improved for me. With the standard grips, the lever path is quite long, and the system leaves a rather soft feel. The HC3 grips leave a much crisper impression. Because the grips sit quite close to the handlebar, you can reach them very quickly, which provides additional safety in extreme driving situations. The problem of the brake levers occasionally "folding away" is also solved with these grips. These grips are optimal for riders who are very sporty. The only criticism is the rather high price.

Brutal Lever

In contrast to the standard levers, unfortunately, the pressure point cannot be adjusted here, only the lever width. Actually, it's not a problem, but the HC3 wanders in comparison to the Standard levers only engage halfway - in effect this means: a short tap and you have a rock-hard pressure point. For me, suboptimal, I like to have the pressure point as close to the handle as possible, but this cannot be corrected with the lever distance either. Overall, the pads move a bit closer to the disc - at first, I thought it might be due to the oil amount (too much) - but even multiple corrections didn't change anything, the path at the master cylinder is too short...
In practice, I think there's nothing to say about the braking power (203 disc, 8.R - pads) - if you want to stop, you stop immediately. I hope the pressure point moves a bit further towards the handle after some rides, then everything would be perfect.
