Description
The Restrap Downtube Bag was designed to increase carrying capacity by utilizing the otherwise dead space under the downtube. Particularly useful for smaller frames or anyone needing additional capacity. The Downtube Bag offers 1.2 liters of waterproof storage that can be easily attached with Velcro, without the need for special mounts.
The Downtube Bag is fully waterproof and features a roll closure that keeps the elements, splashes, and road debris where they belong. A single integrated Velcro strap wraps around the Downtube Bag and the downtube, holding it securely in place and minimizing rattling. A sewn-in grip pad prevents the bag from slipping out of position. Thanks to the bolt-free attachment, the Downtube Bag can be switched from bike to bike in seconds.
You can store anything you want in the Downtube Bag, but we believe it is most useful for spare parts, tools, and heavier items. By keeping them low and central, you help maintain the bike's natural center of gravity. This also makes sense if you use a seat post and cannot store items under the saddle, or if your bikepacking setup means you cannot place a tool bag in its usual spot.
The Downtube Bag is designed to fit all bikes, from the thinnest steel tubes to downtubes with a circumference of 19 cm. And although there are no prizes for guessing where the bag should be attached, you can get creative with the choice of attachment location: on the luggage rack, on the seat post, or elsewhere.
All bags are handmade in the workshop in Yorkshire and feature the classic Restrap label made from vegan, eco-friendly PU.
