The result is a complete redesign with a large-diameter FADE freewheel system. This now features three pawls instead of the previous two ratchet discs. The large diameter of the FADE freewheel reduces the forces occurring in the freewheel, and the newly designed tooth profile ensures a significantly reduced freewheel noise. The three pawls are very short and wide, which allows for a large surface area and thus gentle power transmission. As with the predecessor hubs, the new FADE MTB hubs have more material at critical points, providing more safety than hubs from other manufacturers. We are so convinced of our new FADE hub generation that we unconditionally approve all FADE MTB hubs for E-MTB use.
