The good feeling of security also lets you \"give it chain\" even more carefree – in the truest sense of the word! Especially for racers, the chain guide is indispensable, although in times of 1x11 drivetrains, which have increased chain tension and special sprocket teeth, it is sometimes not as urgently needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat should you consider when buying a chain guide and bashguard?\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eBashguards and chain guides for every mountain bike\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the easy installation of chain guides, several standards have been established, but unfortunately, they are not compatible with each other. However, even with older frames without a designated mounting option, you do not have to forgo a guide. For this case, we also offer a wide range of chain guides and bashguards. The attachment is then done, for example, using a clamp on the seat tube or the guide is clamped under the external bottom bracket cups of the BB bottom bracket. A nice and inexpensive solution is also special adapters, with which you can upgrade to the ISCG standard. The difference between the two ISCG standards lies in the bolt circle. The bolt circle is 73 mm in ISCG 05 and 59.24 mm in ISCG 03 (old).
