With just 5°, they offer the smallest engagement angle of all hubs in the DT Swiss range. On the trail, this leads to less pedal kickback. The reduced crank free travel allows for more direct acceleration, for example, when coming out of corners. It also makes it possible to adjust the position of the pedals more quickly.
