Does anyone actually have arms outstretched when going downhill? We certainly do not. That's why ION preformed the E-PACT with a diffraction angle of almost 90 °. This fit avoids drapery as well as a cutting of Meshmaterials in the crook of the arm and thus premature fatigue. Since freedom of movement is essential for intuitive steering maneuvers, the E-PACT relies on a combination of viscoelastic foams and hard shell. The high-quality HD Memory Foam optimally adapts to the contours of the body and has proven its longevity at ION for years in kitesurfing hipbelt. The hard shell takes away the shock of sharp stones, distributes the kinetic energy of an impact over a large area and makes the saver appear optically slim thanks to the thin padding used.
