Maxxis Forekaster WT Folding Tire - 27.5x2.60 Inch - 3C MaxxSpeed - TR Exo

Description

The Forekaster is now also available in a 2.60″ wide version. The tire is suitable for rims of 30-35 mm inner width and is a super all-rounder on tours in the low mountains as well as for longer adventures. When the ground is deeper or the weather is wetter, the choice goes to the Forekaster. The medium-height lugs are evenly spaced for perfect grip on trails with a loose layer over firm ground. The Profi l has a more open design compared to other Maxxis racer tires for better self-cleaning in wet conditions. Wide notched center lugs brake convincingly on slippery single trails. With the Forekaster, you're perfectly equipped for the trails - in any weather.

Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This gives you better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there's no tube, the risk of punctures goes down, too. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other "Tubeless Ready" tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer, just like a real UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting on all rims with standard dimensions already successful with the first inflation and with little liquid. Also "normal" Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires of other manufacturers, because the carcass fabrics are very dense. Officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis are but only the new Maxxis TR models.

The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tires remains unchanged convincingly good.

The fastest 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed by the hard substructure and the fast compound in the tread center on lowest rolling resistance, but offers with the grippy compound on the sides to superior grip in corners, even in wet conditions. Also typical of Maxxis is the very long service life.
