Maxxis Ikon+ folding tire - 27.5x2.80 inch - 3C MaxxSpeed
Description
The Maxxis Ikon+ is an excellent fast race tire with enough reserves for deeper terrain. Suitable for hardtails and AM Fullies up to 140mm. Its 120 TPI casing adapts smoothly to the ground and provides a super rolling behavior. The TR version with EXO sidewall protection is designed to be ridden without an inner tube with sealant, but like all TR tires, can also be ridden with an inner tube.
3C MaxxSpeed
The fastest 3C compound of Maxxis for the XC, AllMountain or Enduro tires is this by the hard substructure in its own way, one with low rolling resistance but also to this very Griplastig even in the wet. As is typical with Maxxis, this tire also has a long service life.
EXO+ Protection
Tires with EXO+ Protection are built for aggressive trail riding and enduro racing, and especially designed for the higher torque and weight of E-MTBs as well. First up are wide versions of the popular Minion DHF, Minion DHr II and Rekon with EXO+ casings.
Maxxis' EXO+ construction combines, two of the best puncture protection materials: SlikShield and EXO Protection.
The SilkShield layer surrounds the entire tire from bead to bead, while the EXO layer is mounted on the sidewalls. Together, this gives EXO+ with the following benefits: 27% better puncture protection on the tread*, 51% stronger sidewall*, 28% more puncture protection* compared to our proven stable EXO carcass.
