DH WorldCup courses today are steep technical monsters with constantly changing conditions. For that, Maxxis' pros needed a mid-spike tire that could handle dry, loose, rutted turns as well as a little mud. The Shorty is such a tire. A high-volume dual-ply casing makes it more versatile than our WetScream mud tire. Large, high and slightly staggered side lugs penetrate loose soil and ensure predictable rounding of corners at the speed of light. Two lug types alternate in the center: rectangular lugs and square lugs, with strong bite under braking and excellent self-cleaning.
