Tubular

A special type of tire is the tubular tire, because here the tire is directly combined with the hose. In the tubular tire, a tube is sewn directly into the tire and is glued to special rims. This variant is mainly used in road cycling. Many professionals still rely on the system, the reason for this is a particularly smooth rolling and cornering behavior. However, a modern folding tire is in no way inferior to a tubular tire in terms of rolling resistance. A clear advantage of the system is that it does not jump off the rim on a possible plate. Thus, the cyclist can roll out without danger and in the race even cover a few meters until the material cart is on site. The big disadvantage is the assembly, by sticking to the rim a tire change is considerably more expensive than other bicycle tires.
