More power options

The HERO13 Black has more power supply options than any GoPro before it. The Contacto Waterproof Magnetic Power Cable and Door Kit features a magnetic connection that allows you to quickly and easily connect to an external power source. The Dual Battery Charger + Integrated Powerbank has its own internal battery, allowing the two included Enduro batteries to be conveniently charged anywhere. It can also be connected to your camera for particularly long recordings.

More flexibility in mounting

The HERO13 Black features 3 mounting options, making it more versatile than ever. The new Magnetic Latch Mount makes it quicker and easier to switch the camera from one mount to another. Use the built-in mounting fingers to securely attach the camera to GoPro mounts when you need a permanent attachment in rough conditions. The 1/4-20 thread can be used with tripods and other standard camera accessories.

HLG-HDR video

The HERO13 Black takes its class-leading image quality to the next level with the option to record in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), a standard HDR format used by professionals for recording 5.3K and 4K videos in 10-bit and Rec. 2100 colour space. This advanced feature requires a compatible display and media player for playback. Users can still record HDR videos without HLG for playback on standard displays and media players.

Widescreen, vertical, and full-frame recording

With the powerful 1/1.9" image sensor of the HERO13 Black, you can do more. Choose widescreen shots (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on a TV or vertical videos (9:16 aspect ratio) for posting on social media. The full-frame option (aspect ratio 8:7) offers a field of view of 156°, which can later be cropped for widescreen and vertical shots to ensure maximum versatility.

10-bit colour + log encoding

With the HERO13 Black, you have the choice between recording standard videos with 10-bit and log encoding with 10-bit using GP-Log. The 10-bit colour encoding can represent over 1 billion colours and provides improved colour depth, smoother gradients, and more realism in your videos. Advanced users can use GP-Log to capture more details in their footage while making necessary image corrections in post-production (a lookup table/LUT is included).

GPS + performance stickers

GPS automatically captures telemetry data that can be overlaid as animated graphics in your video using the GoPro Quik App. This way, you can visually represent your speed, route, terrain, altitude, and G-forces, giving your videos an intense, professional character.
