The SLR 1 40 is a wheelset for the road, providing plenty of efficiency, increased power transfer, and improved control.

• The hookless rim ht the lifespan and offers a larger inner rim width without additional weight.
• The optimised carbon layup consists of high-strength carbon fibres placed at key locations to ensure stiff and lightweight wheels.
• The 40 mm hookless rim profile provides an additional aerodynamic advantage.
• The Dynamic Balanced Lacing (DBL) technology ensures a stiffer, more efficient wheel with excellent power transfer. The enlarged DBL hub flange ht the spoke stiffness angle, thus increasing overall torsional and lateral stiffness for better power transfer.
• The 2.8 mm wide rim bead ht the stiffness of the rim and provides better grip for the tyres during cornering.
• The 22.4 mm wide inner rim is designed for high-volume tyres and offers a larger contact area with the tyre, resulting in better traction and shock absorption for more confidence and a better ride feel.
• The GIANT hub with precision-engineered internal parts avoids excessive bearing load, reduces bearing friction, decreases rolling resistance, and minimises power loss.
