R.S.P. Hot Melt BIO WAX Distance

Same performance and properties as non-biodegradable waxes - our wax is harder and more stable compared to paraffins and also softer, more flexible compared to polyolefin waxes. r.s.p waxes are VOC and PFAS free. Certified biodegradability (test method OECD 301 B) Our r.s.p. wax consists of natural lipids and natural paraffins and is thus a food source for numerous bacteria and fungi. They are stable in dry and bound form. The biological degradation processes only begin when phosphates, nitrogen, heat, salts, and especially moisture allow the growth of such fungal and bacterial cultures.

Our r.s.p. HOT MELT WAX is equipped with the highest quality additives. Mainly tungsten sulfides - WS2 (also called tungsten sulfides), a compound of tungsten and sulfur, has an incredibly low friction coefficient of 0.03 - better than molybdenum, PTFE, or even wet ice on wet ice! It increases ht power transmission and reduces wear. Very low friction - works over a wide temperature range from -270 °C to +650 °C!

Application:

• The chain must be completely cleaned of oil and grease (we recommend our chain cleaner r.s.p. Jacky Chain or Brakecleaner)
• Heat the hot melt wax (melting point approx. 95 °C)
• When the wax is completely liquid, hang the chain on a wire hook and dip it into the liquid wax bath
• Move the chain in the bath (air bubbles may rise)
• After about 10 minutes, remove the chain and let it drip over the bath
• Then hang to dry for at least 12 hours
• The same procedure applies to the chain lock
• After drying, reassemble the chain
