Description
The Sylvan Touring pedals have the largest tread area in the Sylvan range, offering various foot positions on an area of 94 x 63 mm to prevent fatigue. The pedal is double-sided and compatible with toe clips and straps to prevent slipping. This pedal is suitable for a variety of shoe types, as the tooth profile of the cage plate is grippy but not overly aggressive.
The Sylvan Touring Next is the first major upgrade of our popular Sylvan Touring, which was first launched in 1979.
The Sylvan NEXT is our new premium pedal that retains the traditional design of the Sylvan while reducing the pedal weight by 53 grams.
The Sylvan NEXT pedals use our triple-sealed cartridge bearings, which provide remarkably smooth and maintenance-free rotation at a lower weight than cone and ball bearings. The low-friction bearing improves pedalling efficiency and makes the NEXT series ideal for long-distance rides.
On the Sylvan NEXT pedals, the plate is attached to the pedal body with screws, making it replaceable or customisable.
In line with the improved performance, we have enhanced the surface of the Sylvan NEXT pedals. The Sylvan NEXT is available with a high-gloss chrome mirror finish on the axle and pedal body or with a chrome axle and black pedal body. The high-gloss chrome spindle has extremely strong corrosion protection properties and offers improved resistance to salt and water.
