Description
The Future Proof is Wilde’s rigid fork for the Hardtail frame Dark Star and other hardtails. With a rigid fork, a mountain bike remains useful even when geometry and standards continue to evolve—such as for everyday use or a bikepacking bike. The installation height of 501 mm is derived by Wilde from a 120-mm suspension fork (531 mm) with 25% sag (30 mm); this means the fork is matched to modern frames with 120 to 130 mm suspension travel, while many rigid forks still have an installation height of 483 to 490 mm. The paint is the same Sparkle Black as on the Dark-Star frame.
