Anatomical Gel Pads

When cycling, the majority of your body weight rests on the small saddle surface. To prevent discomfort in the extremely sensitive perineal and genital area, the pressure is distributed as evenly as possible on the sit bones. In the SFC3, the anatomical gel pads play a crucial role: They provide you with additional comfort by following the natural movements of the sit bones, which alternately carry the body weight left and right during pedaling.

Optimized Relief Channel

The two comparison images of the pressure measurements clearly show why our SCF3 offers you significantly more comfort than a conventional fitness saddle. The large anatomical relief channel in the middle prevents pressure on the sensitive perineal and genital area. We have optimized the shape and position of this channel with the help of many test riders and the latest pressure measurement techniques to prevent discomfort. Additionally, gel pads integrated into the seating surface take on your body weight and follow your natural movements when pedaling.

The Right Size

The shape and size of a saddle's seating surface must match the sit bone distance of the rider. Since the pelvic bones taper forward in a V-shape, the saddle must be able to provide the sit bones with a sufficiently large contact area in different seating positions. The saddle widths are chosen so that the usable seating surface corresponds to the sit bone distance. The more forward-leaning a rider sits, the further forward the sit bones touch the saddle.
