Threaded MTB bottom brackets are usually English threaded (BSA) and have the same thread and inner diameter of 34 mm, but a wider shell of 73 mm. This kit connects SRAM and Quarq cranks with 24/22 mm axle to the BSA MTB standard. Bearings that are pressed into threaded cups and then screwed into the frame are the main components of this kit. The coated version has a metallic coating on the race rings, making them smoother and harder, leading to longer lifespan and reduced friction.
