Peaty´s Monarch Grip - Knurl - Gum

The Monarch Grip is the result of decades of experience in downhill sports and an 18-month development process. During these 18 months, we surveyed over 1,000 people about their grip preferences and dislikes, tested countless grips, and even set up our own internal 3D printing and casting workshop to test and refine the smallest details over hundreds of hours - down to the last 0.25 mm - seriously!

Features: 

• Two sizes: Thin/S (30-32mm) and Thick/M (32-34mm)
• Soft 20A rubber compound for the best compromise between grip and durability
• The tapered & asymmetrical grip body provides plenty of cushioning and comfort on top while ensuring maximum grip and feel on the bottom
• The thumb rest in a “zigzag” design offers maximum pressure relief for the thumb
• The finger grooves are cut deep into the grip to provide maximum grip and feel for the handlebar
• The tapered grip core, made of 80% recycled ocean plastic, adapts perfectly to the handlebar and prevents the grip from twisting at the handlebar ends
• The half flange on the inside and “Pinky” ramp for the little finger on the outside help you identify the two ends of the grip
• The grips offer 130 mm of grip area and are secured with slim 8 mm wide locking rings

Installation Instructions:

1. Remove the old grips and thoroughly clean/degrease the handlebar

2. Slide the grips onto the handlebar, ensuring they are mounted on the correct side. The markings “L” and “R” on the lock ring indicate the orientation from the rider's perspective during installation.

3. Align the grips so that the crown logo is facing upwards at the end. This establishes a good standard position. Depending on riding position and preference, the grip position can be slightly adjusted forward and backward.

4. Tap the grip onto the handlebar to ensure that the ends are fully inserted into the tapered core. A firm hit with the palm should suffice; a hammer is not required!

5. Tighten the 3mm Allen key on the locking ring to 3Nm.

6. Have fun riding.
