Schwalbe Natural Bike Soap

The soap comes in the starter set, completely assembled according to
sustainability criteria:
The Bike Soap comes in a recyclable aluminium box for
storage, along with a bio-horsehair brush for foaming and
cleaning. The set packaging consists of a reusable
mesh bag made from wood fibres, which is compostable
after its lifecycle.

Why has Schwalbe produced a bike soap?
Schwalbe has been actively working on the topic
of tube and tyre recycling for years. We now have
our own four-person team
that focuses exclusively on the topics of
responsibility, circular economy, and
environment. The idea arose from
our own practical need to frequently
wash many bikes while using less
cleaning material that lasts significantly
longer.
What is the soap made of?
Quite simply: it lasts a long time and can be
developed in an environmentally friendly way. The soap
is easily biodegradable according to OECD, without perfume
and without microplastics. One soap is sufficient for
up to 100 washes – when you calculate that at the
price of 7.90 euros,
one wash is extremely cheap. It
has an excellent cleaning effect,
is degreasing, and foams strongly. The
dirt particles on the bike are enveloped
and can then be rinsed off without scratching.
The soap also has grease-dissolving properties. That's all very
simple.
How does the soap work?
First, spray the bike completely with water
to remove the coarse
dirt. Use the damp brush or
a sponge to foam the soap.
Then clean your bike with it and rinse it
again with water. Lather the brush again with the soap
two to three times, that’s enough for one wash. Then
rinse the soap briefly and store it in the
tin. Done, you’re finished.
