Description
Rough rock gardens, knobbly roots and steep, technical climbs – the brand-new Trance X 29 is for anyone who’s most excited about the hardest trail sections. With more travel and adjustable geometry, this bike is always on the hunt for challenging singletrack fun
This brand-new 29er has one mission above all: it wants to help you master even the toughest trails faster, with more flow. For that, it has a stable and stiff aluminium frame with 29-inch-specific geometry and strong suspension with a new, improved tune. The Maestro rear end now offers 135 mm of active travel, which matches perfectly with the 150 mm suspension fork. The Advanced Forged carbon rocker link has a flip chip that lets you adjust the geometry and thus tailor the ride characteristics to your riding style and the terrain. You can set a steeper/flatter steering and seat angle and at the same time adjust the bottom bracket drop to 30 mm or 40 mm. The whole bike is tuned to its 29-inch wheels and offers plenty of tyre clearance (up to 2.5 inches), so you can get maximum grip even on rough trails.
29-inch for confidence and control
29-inch wheels roll very balanced and stable even on rough terrain. That lets you carry more momentum into the climb and gain confidence to really make the bike fly on fast, rowdy singletracks. Thanks to increased tyre clearance, the frame takes tyres up to 2.5 inches wide.
Progressive suspension
The new Maestro rear end is equipped with a Trunnion shock mount that allows more travel and better responsiveness. You have 135 mm rear travel available (and 150 mm at the front), and you can also adjust the geometry in two positions using the flip chip. The “Advanced Forced” rocker link provides more stiffness and stability with less weight at the same time.
Adjustable frame geometry
The lightweight aluminium frame features adjustable geometry with a head angle of 66.2 degrees or 65.5 degrees and a seat angle of 77.9 degrees or 77.2 degrees. Depending on the setting, you get a bottom bracket drop of 30 mm or 40 mm. This lets you tune the bike perfectly for fast trail fun.
