Compound - SmartEVO

The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each contributing its specific property while ensuring a perfect balance of actually opposing characteristics: the goal for every rubber technician. To complete this project, Pirelli utilised its exceptional experience gained over more than 100 years in motorsport and the vast know-how from cycling. Our extensive knowledge and chemical expertise have enabled the material engineers and chemists at Pirelli to implement this ternary polymer blend so advanced that an "intelligent" behaviour is guaranteed, characteristic of the outstanding properties of the SmartEVO compound. Perfect grip whether wet or dry, combined with low rolling resistance. A performance package suitable for all modern road disciplines and surfaces, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where climate and road surfaces require tyres that perform under all circumstances.

Casing

The new SpeedCORE casing consists of a thin, airtight layer with a rubber blend of aramid particles covering the inner part of the tyre. The large and high flexibility of the rubber blend makes the tyre faster and smoother, while the aramid particles provide better puncture protection.

The casing is complemented by a nylon fabric and an aramid breaker, while the tread profile uses the most advanced blend from Pirelli, the SmartEVO, to achieve the highest performance.

All special features of the new P ZERO Race TLR are manufactured in Italy, offering unique quality and outstanding performance.
