Every Schwalbe tube is 100% recyclable. The recycled butyl rubber can be used in the production of new tubes without loss of quality. Used, unsorted tubes are the raw material for recycling. In Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK, Schwalbe supports the return process of old bicycle tubes with a collection method that consumers can easily and freely participate in. Every new Schwalbe standard tube already consists of around 20% recycled material. Schwalbe is continuously working to increase the proportion of reused material without adversely affecting the quality of the new tube.
