LOWER LINK

The technically optimized lower link (A) features a flip chip (B) for geometry adjustment and robust axles (C) that practically eliminate lateral flex.

UPPER LINK

We use high-quality and sealed Enduro MAX ball bearings (A) and premium screws (B) in our linkages. This makes them easy to maintain. And we offer free replacement bearings for the entire lifespan of your bike.

MONOCOQUE REAR END

The VPP system features a monocoque rear end that does not require pivot points on the stays, providing an incredibly stiff frame for precise control and superior performance.

C AND CC CARBON

Santa Cruz offers two qualities of carbon - the absolutely high-quality CC carbon and the slightly more budget-friendly C carbon. The CC frame, which we offer in our top models and as a frame kit, is slightly lighter but equally stiff and stable as the C frame.

CARBON COMPETENCE

The shock window (A), the glovebox (B) and the internal cable channels (not shown) illustrate the carbon competence of Santa Cruz. We combine function and performance with carbon design and manufacturing technology.

VPP™

The VPP™ system can be optimized for any bike to achieve the right balance between drive efficiency and rear end performance. This means: If "VPP™" is on it, you can be sure that the rear end has been optimized exactly for the intended use for which the bike was built.

Confident in the mid-travel range

145mm of rear travel and 150mm at the front. There are descents that can handle more travel, but if the ascent is as important to you as the descent and you get into your groove on your home trails, then the Hightower is the perfect bike.

Responsive rear end performance

Compared to the last Hightower, we have significantly reduced the anti-squat value in the first 40% of the travel. This noticeably improves the responsiveness of the rear end both on climbs and descents, due to the decoupling of the drive.

Fine suspension feel

The curve of the rear end is relatively linear. And it develops a slight progression towards the end of the travel. This improves performance on hard hits and provides consistent support.

Glovebox

Pack everything you need under the solid flap in your downtube. Including your fine gloves. The bike comes standard with a "Tool Wallet" and "Tube Purse", two well-crafted bags that securely and conveniently store your items.

C and CC Full Carbon Frame

Our CC carbon frames use the best materials and latest manufacturing processes. They have the same stiffness and stability as our C frames, while being lighter. We use CC frames in our top models. Both versions are manufactured in our own factory and come with our well-known lifetime warranty.

Window for SAG

A small window makes it easier to adjust the suspension. Other nice details include the fender that protects the shock from dirt, a clean cable routing in the frame, and the rubberized downtube protection.

Flip Chip

In the low setting, the rear end becomes slightly more progressive, especially at the end of the stroke for more support before bottoming out. In the high setting, the bike sits slightly higher and offers the rider more support in the mid-travel range. All tinkers and sensitive shredders can adjust the suspension to their riding style and preferences.

Size-dependent geometry

The chainstay length and seat angle are tailored to the frame size, so every rider, regardless of their height, receives the same balanced geometry.

29" Wheels

The lower rolling resistance and the confidence of the 29" wheels create trust and help the rider efficiently gain ground.
