Assos TACTICA Kieskäfer Bib Shorts T5 - Robust Grey

An off-road bib short that combines performance with durability, suitable for both competitions and tours, optimised with integrated storage, a more compressive fabric, and a simplified, weight-reduced construction.

The TACTICA KIESKÄFER T5 replaces the GTC KIESPANZER C2 with a lighter, more breathable, and more compressive construction. It offers optimised performance on gravel paths and singletracks. The key improvements are the Type.911 fabric and the stabilising rollBar system, which have been adopted from the Racing Series and transfer high-intensity road performance to the terrain. The thigh pockets are also larger, providing more storage space, allowing easy access to important items and energy sources while riding. In the T5 generation, we have also updated the insert and equipped it with more shock-absorbing foam that dampens jolts and cushions repeated impacts on gravel and trails.

FEATURED FABRICS
Type.911 is a fabric in a jersey knit with a silky soft, abrasion-resistant texture that provides stabilising compression. The black is deeper than in the previous model. It is also water-repellent and dries quickly, preventing weight gain from residual moisture, has odorControl properties, and offers UPF 50+ protection. The pockets use panels made of K-Net, a breathable mesh in jersey knit that stabilises and securely envelops the contents.

CONSTRUCTION/FIT
The movement-enhancing TACTIGA T5 fit is less aggressive than our racingFit and strikes a balance between sleek aerodynamics with low volume, comfort over many hours, and less restriction when you are not in the saddle.

ENGINEERING

rollBar: A patented reinforcement design that we have adopted from the Racing Series. It stabilises the insert and keeps it in position when you shift your weight while sprinting, climbing, and cornering.

zeroPressure Waist: A waistband made of soft, highly elastic material that improves comfort and support in the waist area without pinching or constricting.

PlLtec Plug-In: The leg opening is equipped with a lightweight, ultra-breathable textile band. The externally invisible micro-point silicone treatment stabilises the fit and provides grip even in wet conditions.

Integrated Storage: Two triple-ramp thigh pockets provide secure storage for important items that you can easily access while riding on gravel or trails that require your full attention.

TACTICA TS Insert

Shock-Absorb Damping Mono: A single breathable, 11 mm thick layer that ensures comfort in the terrain by dampening micro-shocks and vibrations on gravel paths and singletracks.

goldenGate 2.0: The insert is attached at the front and back, while the sides and the middle remain loose. This allows it to move with your body rather than against it. New cutouts on the sides reduce volume and friction when pedalling.
