Tubeless tires have many advantages: You can ride with less air pressure. This provides better traction and reduces rolling resistance. And where there is no tube, the risk of punctures also decreases. Maxxis TR tires are better prepared for mounting with sealant than other 'Tubeless Ready' tires. The bead of the TR tires is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tire. This makes tubeless mounting successful on all standard rims on the first inflation and with little liquid. Even 'normal' Maxxis MTB tires can be mounted tubeless with sealant like tires from other manufacturers, as the carcass fabrics are very dense. However, only the new Maxxis TR models are officially approved for tubeless mounting and guaranteed by Maxxis.

The 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tires is designed for minimal rolling resistance with the hard base and fast compound in the center of the tread, but also offers superior grip in corners with the grippy compound on the sides, even in wet conditions. Also typical of Maxxis is the very long lifespan.

The Exo Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires consistently convincingly good.
