The Ultegra PD-R8000 makes no compromises when it comes to optimal performance. The body is made of a carbon composite material, which is robust and ensures a low weight of only 248 g per pair. The extra-wide contact surface achieves more efficient power transfer, supported by a high-strength insert in the pedal body made of wear-resistant and torsion-resistant stainless steel. This stainless steel insert protects the pedal body from abrasion at contact points between the shoe and pedal. The Ultegra PD-R8000 also features the option to adjust the entry and release tension to suit individual needs in click behavior. This is the version of the pedal with a 4 mm longer axle, which increases the distance between the pedal center and crank arm. This also allows the Q-factor to be adjusted.
