Beadnip: Spank's patented Bead Nip rim profile keeps the tire stable in the rim even at low pressure, thus preventing wandering or detachment. This minimizes tire punctures.

OoBah Profile: The term Ooh Bah describes the Spank's own rim profile, which, due to its special construction, better dissipates the occurring force flows and thus protects the rim from denting. Additionally, the wall can be dimensioned accordingly at various points. This makes the rim lighter without losing stability. And in terms of rotating mass, every gram counts!

MGR - Micro Grain Refinement: Stands for mechanical processes that optimize the reduction and consistency of various aluminum grain sizes and structures. The result is improved strength, hardness, and formability. MGR material refinement is now used in the production of Spank rims, handlebars, and stems.

Flash-Weld: To weld or not to weld, that is the question! Most aluminum alloys require heat treatment after welding. Without this, the seam would be very brittle and fragile. Therefore, the area around the weld seams on rims often shows weak points. The Flash-Welding process eliminates this problem. Here, both butt ends are gently fused together, and unlike normal welding, no different grain density is created, which could ultimately lead to breakage.

Super6 Aluminum: Super 6 Aluminum is the material used for Spank's high-quality rim production of the Oozy, Tweet, Tweet, and Stiffy models. Based on conventionally proven 6-series aluminum, Super 6 is a special, optimized alloy. This makes the rims even lighter, stiffer, and more durable than ever before.
