Description

The new 512 road bike clipless pedal ensures a gentle, ergonomic, yet simultaneously dynamic and optimal riding position on the bike due to the different axle lengths. Unlike conventional clipless pedals, which almost force the feet into a parallel, unnatural foot position, the 512 road bike pedal allows for a physiological and natural foot position. This not only prevents unilateral strain, particularly on the fibula head, but also improves power transmission.

The SQlab pedal technology ensures a smooth pedal stroke in a natural, anatomical position.

  • Includes 1 pair of cleats with 9° freedom of movement (compatible with Look Keo pedal system)

Shorter axle:

These pedals are rarely used but still have their justification. The short axle is suitable for cyclists with small shoe sizes who can ride with a parallel foot position. The so-called Q-factor is thus smaller. Especially in combination with a narrow sit bone distance and narrow hip width, it makes sense to stand with the feet as close together as possible. The short axle length is also suitable for children.

Medium axle:

The standard size for everyone who honestly gets along well with the pedals of the market leaders in this area.

Longer axle:

This is important for people whose foot position is V-shaped when viewed from above. If the feet are placed parallel on the pedals, it no longer corresponds to the natural position and can lead to knee discomfort. If discomfort occurs, especially on the outside of the knees at the fibula head, the feet should be placed on the pedal according to their natural position. With the SQlab road bike clipless pedals, the cleat can usually be adjusted without problems. However, since it often becomes too tight for the heel and it rubs against the crank or frame, the longer axle of the SQlab pedals simply provides more space for this foot position. From shoe size 45 onwards, it often becomes tight and polished cranks can be seen.
