What is a bike park? Our selection criteria
Surely, when reviewing our list, you will notice that we focus here on larger bike parks, meaning MTB areas that have a lift, or that offer bike rentals and a bike school with riding technique courses. At the very least, you have different tracks to choose from, usually resulting in various difficulty levels that challenge both beginners and advanced riders equally.
The many smaller pump tracks and trails that are now available everywhere have been left out this time, except in areas where larger bike tracks are really scarce, so you can find a bike park near you. However, we are happy to provide the list of bike locations with recreational value. Leave a comment, if you also want a list of (legal) local trails, BMX spots, and pump tracks here, we will get to work immediately!
* = “The best bike parks” in Germany
Get to know our favorite bike parks! In our blog post “The best bike parks in Germany” we introduce you to some of the larger MTB parks in more detail, we have marked them above with *. The selection was not easy for us, but here you will find the bike parks where the BMO team likes to hang out. In addition to a brief description, you will find lots of information such as prices, opening hours, and so on, which will help you plan your visit. If you want to travel a bit further, you should definitely also visit our post “The best bike parks in Austria” where you will find MTB locations in Austria that will spark your wanderlust!
Finally, a request…
Here we have a call to all MTB checkers: No one can travel to all the bike parks in Germany, unfortunately, neither can we! Have we forgotten a bike arena that is worth a trip? We did not want to list all the smaller trails or pump tracks here, but if you miss a large bike park with several tracks here, contact us! We are happy to expand our list and make you a co-author, of course with a mention by name :-)
