Each Schwalbe tube is 100% recyclable. The recycled butyl rubber can be used in the production of new tubes without loss of quality. Used, unsorted tubes are the raw material for recycling. In Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, Schwalbe supports the return process of old bicycle tubes with a collection system that end consumers can easily and freely participate in. Each new Schwalbe standard tube is already made up of around 20% recycled material. Schwalbe is continuously working to increase the proportion of reused material without adversely affecting the quality of the new tube.
