Continental TPU Tube 40/60-584 - SV 60mm

A seven-layer, lightweight, and space-saving TPU tube for performance-oriented road, gravel, and MTB riders.

The ContiTPU tube is particularly lightweight yet durable and is suitable for both road and off-road applications. Micrometer-thick TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) of the highest quality is processed in seven layers, achieving the best possible air tightness and durability. The tubes remain uncolored to ensure the highest material quality and to avoid unwanted pressure loss that can be caused by surface defects due to coloring. Each ContiTPU tube undergoes a manual quality control after production.

The base of the valve stem is slightly conical to improve the fit on the rim and reduce unwanted movement during the ride. Additionally, the valve stem features an internal thread, allowing the use of valve extensions or a replacement valve core.

Safety Instructions:

• TPU tubes must not be used with rim brakes. Excessive heat development can lead to sudden pressure loss.

• In the unmounted state, TPU tubes must be filled with a maximum of 0.3 bar. Higher pressure can lead to permanent deformations and render the tube unusable.
• Ensure that the valve hole in the rim has the correct diameter. If the valve hole is too large, the valve can twist or tear off.
• Always ensure during installation that the tube or valve is not pinched, twisted, or damaged.
