Description

Pad Mixture: Disc RS

POWERFUL AND CONSISTENT BRAKING
Disc RS has a strong braking performance and offers a balanced ratio of performance features that are important for racers and everyday drivers

  • Consistently quiet in use
  • Transparent feel at the lever
  • Braking power that is predictable and progressive
  • High durability

QUIET – WHETHER WET OR DRY
Disc RS is extremely quiet under all conditions. The mixture is noiseless in wet, dry, snow, and ice.

ORGANIC MIXTURE
Sensitive controllability, rotor-friendly.

THIN BACKING PLATE DESIGN
The only 1.6 mm thick backing plate, made from a steel alloy, saves weight compared to traditional designs – yet still possesses the advantageous thermal properties as well as the strength and stability of steel.

The thinner backing plate is equipped with additional pad mixture, thus extending the lifespan of the disc pad.

BALANCED PERFORMANCE
Disc RS offers a balanced combination of braking performance, durability, and extreme quietness under all conditions. This finely tuned pad mixture provides an optimal riding experience compared to other brake pads.

ATTENTION:
The brake pads must be bedded in to achieve optimal braking power and durability

  • Step 1: On a moderately steep descent, let the front and rear brakes alternate for 20-30 seconds.
    Repeat this process 2-3 times.
  • Step 2: On a steeper descent, let both brakes alternate for 10-15 seconds each and finish the braking with an almost complete stop.
Repeat this process again 2-3 times.
  • Pro-Tip: Bed in the brake pads for the rear brake on the front wheel. Just as described above. Then mount the pads on the rear. On a flat road, let them grind briefly 2-3 times. Caution: Before changing the pads, be sure to let them cool sufficiently: Risk of burns!
