Minimal rolling resistance and maximum comfort are the primary goals of the RXR tire. By using a 60TPI tubeless casing, the RXR is lightweight and reliable. The casing not only allows the tire to adapt to the terrain to ensure grip and comfort but also to fend off a large portion of potential damage from objects on the road or trail. The developers at Hope have incorporated leading edges into the center of the tread to ensure traction during braking and acceleration under all conditions, while maintaining a flush rolling surface. This means that the leading edges are only used in wet or off-road conditions. In dry and smooth surfaces, the tire rolls with minimal resistance. To make this tire a truly capable road-plus tire for all conditions, angled, mud- and water-repellent channels have also been integrated into the shoulder tread. The rubber compound in the center is somewhat firmer to increase rolling speed and durability. The softer rubber compound on the edges, combined with the large tread width, means that grip is maximized when you really need it.
