The HERO13 Black takes its class-leading image quality to the next level with the option to record in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), a standard HDR format that professionals use for recording 5.3K and 4K videos in the 10-bit and Rec. 2100 color space. This advanced feature requires a compatible screen and media player for playback. Users can still record HDR videos without HLG for playback on standard screens and media players.

Widescreen, vertical, and full-frame recording
With the powerful 1/1.9" image sensor of the HERO13 Black, you can do more. Choose widescreen shots (16:9 aspect ratio) for full-screen playback on a TV or vertical videos (9:16 aspect ratio) for posting on social media. The full-frame option (8:7 aspect ratio) offers a 156° field of view that can later be cropped for creating widescreen and vertical shots to ensure maximum versatility.

10-Bit Color + Log Encoding
With the HERO13 Black, you have the choice between recording standard videos with 10-bit and log encoding with 10-bit using GP-Log. The 10-bit color coding can represent over 1 billion colors and offers improved color depth, smoother gradations, and more realism in your videos. Advanced users can use GP-Log to capture more details in their shots while making necessary image corrections in post-production (a lookup table/LUT is included).
