HYDRO_BOT jacket with active moisture-wicking insert at the back

Application:

• For best results, it is recommended to wear functional underwear made of synthetic materials with good moisture transport

 

Installation/Operation:

• Jacket is compatible with the Montevideo-Air 2.0 jacket (X51039)
• Connect the control box with the cable of the HYDRO_BOT system in the jacket
• Insert the control box into the designated pocket in the jacket
• Charge the control box with the USB charging cable. During charging, a red light blinks. The battery lasts 16 hours under normal conditions.
• Start the system by pressing the button on the control box
• Press 1 x: steady green light, the system is on
• Press 2 x: blinking green light, the system is on standby. In standby mode, the HYDRO_BOT system can be activated and deactivated
• To turn off, press the button for 3 seconds. A red light briefly blinks and the system is turned off

 

Care/Cleaning:

• Before washing, the control box must be removed from the jacket
• Please wash by hand or separately at 30°C with low spin (max. 500) or without spinning
• Do not dry in a tumble dryer and do not iron

 

Purpose/Function:

• HYDRO_BOT is the first active moisture-wicking membrane that transports moisture and vapor through electro-osmosis from the inside to the outside. This was developed and tested in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA) in professional laboratories
• The HYDRO_BOT fabric electronically transports moisture as needed, independently of external factors such as temperature and humidity, with direct electronic control of the transport direction and amount. The membrane is equipped with billions of pores/m2. When the elements receive a small electrical impulse, moisture is transported at high speed away from the body through the pores to the outside of the jacket. This process is called electro-osmosis. The HYDRO_BOT insert is strategically positioned at the sweat-intensive areas on the back

Attention:

• Wearing a backpack can reduce the functionality of the system
• Therefore, a backpack with a ventilation system is recommended
• The material of the HYDRO_BOT system itself does not have a high water column. It works like a water pump, not like a water barrier
