Maxxis Dissector folding tire 29x2.40 inches WT - 3C MaxxTerra DD TR

The Dissector - Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicorn of a tire. A tire that rolls incredibly fast, carves precisely through corners, and decelerates well when needed. The profile of the Rekon, Minion DHF, and HighRoller II was used as a starting point and designed in close collaboration with Troy during the 2018 World Cup season. The DISSECTOR is excellent as a rear tire in the trail version, as a competition tire, or in the bike park. The trail version also makes sense as a team with the DH variant on the rear wheel if you want a fast-rolling and well-gripping front tire. Thanks to the Double Down (DD) casing, the Dissector is also optimally protected against sidewall damage.

3C Maxx Terra: The freeride version of the 3C tires from Maxxis. Significantly more grip and traction due to softer compounds, with acceptable rolling resistance, so you can still ride up the mountain well before the great descent, and long lifespan.

Double Down tires are constructed like Maxxis downhill tires: two casing layers reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, with two 120 TPI (instead of 60 TPI) casing layers and an aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than downhill tires, much more stable and robust than TR + EXO tires, and thus ideal for tough enduro courses.
