Description

The Forekaster was originally designed as a bad weather tire for CrossCountry, while the new version has been specifically optimized for use in the short-travel trail bike segment with 100 to 130 mm travel – a.k.a. DownCountry.

Intended as a “jack of all trades,” the new Forekaster rolls significantly better than its predecessor and offers solid cornering and braking traction in a variety of trail conditions.

The new Forekaster bridges and closes the gap between the fast-rolling XC tires (Aspen, RekonRace, Ikon, and Rekon) and the downhill-oriented profiles (Dissector, Minion DHF, DHR2, and Assegai) in the MAXXIS mountain bike portfolio.

We envision the new Forekaster as the perfect companion for long rides in diverse terrains. If the Rekon is not enough, but a Minion is too much, take the new Forekaster!

The Exo Protection, made of extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. This ensures the tire's performance remains consistently convincing.

In the Dual Compound mixture, two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.

Sehr schmal und relativ schwer

4-5 mm schmäler als ein Rekon in 2,40. Für das Vorderrad müsste man wohl einen 2,60er nehmen und der ist dann recht schwer.
