Maxxis Rekon Race WT Folding Tire - 29x2.40 Inch - Dual - EXO TR - Tanwall

The Rekon Race is the latest XC tire from Maxxis, which has already won a World Cup race. The Rekon Race achieved this as a prototype almost a year before its series launch with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. This fast semi-slick tire has a similar tread pattern to its big brother, the all-round tire Rekon, but with smaller and lower knobs. It is optimal as a rear tire together with a more profiled tire like the Rekon or Ikon on the front wheel. Or front and rear for short races and light fast race courses.

The EXO Protection, consisting of extremely cut and abrasion-resistant material, protects the sidewall of various MTB tires. It is very tightly woven, lightweight, and very flexible. This keeps the performance of the tires consistently convincingly good. 

In the Dual Compound mixture, two different rubber compounds are processed into a tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned according to the desired properties of the tires.
