29" - WHEELS

29 inches is the clear choice for Laufey for long, fast rides on varied terrain with the best possible versatility. Wide 2.6" tires provide a larger contact area and thus more grip. At any given time, more knobs touch the ground, resulting in better cornering and more braking power.

ORBEA HYDROFORMED ALUMINIUM

We optimise the shapes and wall thicknesses of our aluminium tubes to strengthen them and reduce unwanted flex. Many of the tubes are tapered towards the middle. This saves weight in the less stressed areas of the frame.

With aluminium technology as advanced as our carbon manufacturing, we guarantee that our aluminium bikes are never second best.

RELIABILITY

The Laufey was designed for a lot of action. Without neglecting weight savings in the frame, we aimed for additional durability in a bike that is heavily used. Stressed hydroforming tubes lead to the required resilience.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Cables and lines are routed through the frame in the most sensible way and without rubbing or rattling behind the head tube.

WELDED CHAINSTAY BRIDGE

To achieve maximum tyre clearance and highest strength, we developed our own welded chainstay bridge with CNC finishing that ensures the most precise specifications.
