29" - WHEELS

29 inch is the clear choice for the Laufey for long, fast rides on varied terrain with the best possible versatility. Wide 2.6" tyres provide a larger contact patch and therefore more grip. At any given moment, more knobs are in contact with the ground, which delivers better cornering and more braking power.

ORBEA HYDROFORMED ALUMINIUM

We optimise the shapes and wall thicknesses of our aluminium tubes to make them stronger and reduce unwanted flex. Many of the tubes are tapered towards the middle. This saves weight in the parts of the frame that are less heavily loaded.

With aluminium technology as advanced as our carbon production, we ensure that our aluminium bikes are never a second choice.

RELIABILITY

The Laufey was designed for plenty of action. Without neglecting the weight savings from the frame, we focused on additional durability in a bike that gets put through its paces. Crushed hydroformed tubes provide the required resistance.

INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING

Cables and cables are routed through the frame in the most sensible way, without rubbing or rattling behind the head tube.

WELDED CHAINSTAY BRIDGE

To achieve maximum tyre clearance and the highest stiffness, we developed our own welded chainstay bridge with CNC finishing, ensuring the most precise specifications.
