Bike for long tours

The RS concept offers you a great day on the trails. Low weight, lower energy consumption, and support tailored to the rider's power input increase battery endurance by more than one and a half times.

Sleek and expandable

Traditional e-bikes come with displays, sensors, additional cables, and large switches and buttons as unavoidable standards. However, for us, the appearance of a classic, clean bike is a central part of the RS philosophy.

The lightest in its class

RS motor, battery, and electronics are more than half lighter than other E-Bike systems. RS describes a new philosophy where Orbea power, range, controls, and weight are understood as an integrated system. With its sleek, reduced, and integrated appearance without bulky parts, it allows you to forget the time and experience the trail and the ride even more intensely.

The unique Shimano EP8 RS

For some time, Orbea has been searching for the best solution. When Shimano published the plans for its new EP8 motor, they immediately knew: This extraordinary motor provides the perfect platform to implement the RS power concept. In close collaboration, Orbea took care of developing its own electronics and batteries, while Shimano adapted its EP8 motor to run perfectly with its own RS firmware.

Responsive

All the power of the motor is only useful when it is applied purposefully. The EP8 RS system delivers its power very smoothly and with excellent responsiveness.

The aesthetics of simplicity

Many athletes spend hours making their bike a little lighter, eliminating annoying noises, or correcting visual imperfections. The advantages of bike computers and smartphones are undeniable, yet many athletes do not want to attach an oversized display to the handlebars or top tube.

OMR Frame

OMR frames combine highly modular and high-strength carbon fibres with a standard layup to optimize the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The use of the so-called bladder molding process with EPS molds and polyurethane inserts (PU) at the head tube and bottom bracket avoids folds and unevenness in critical areas of the frame. At the same time, this allows for carbon savings without compromising the strength of the frame.
