Bike for big tours

The RS concept gives you a great day on the trails. Lower weight, reduced energy consumption, and support tailored to the rider's power input increase battery endurance to more than one and a half times.

Slim and expandable

Traditional e-bikes typically come with displays, sensors, extra cables, and large switches and buttons as unavoidable standards. However, for us, the aesthetics of a classic, clean bike were a central part of the RS philosophy.

The lightest in its class

The RS motor, battery, and electronics are more than half as light as other e-bike systems. RS describes a new philosophy where Orbea power, range, controls, and weight are understood as an integrated system. With its sleek, reduced, integrated appearance without bulky parts, it lets you forget time and experience the trail and the ride even more intensely.

The unique Shimano EP8 RS

Orbea had been searching for the best solution for quite some time. When Shimano announced plans for their new EP8 motor, they immediately knew: this exceptional motor would offer the perfect platform to implement the RS power concept. In close collaboration, Orbea developed their own electronics and batteries, while Shimano adapted their EP8 motor to run perfectly with the proprietary RS firmware.

All the motor's power is only useful when applied precisely. The EP8 RS system delivers its power very smoothly and with first-class responsiveness.

The aesthetics of simplicity

Many athletes spend hours upon hours making their bikes a little lighter, eliminating distracting noises, or correcting visual imperfections. The benefits of bike computers and smartphones are undeniable, yet many riders prefer not to mount oversized displays on the handlebars or top tube.

OMR Frame

OMR frames combine high-modulus and high-strength carbon fibers with a standard layup to optimize the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The use of the so-called bladder molding process with EPS molds and polyurethane (PU) inserts at the head tube and bottom bracket prevents wrinkles and imperfections in critical areas of the frame. At the same time, carbon can be saved without compromising the frame's strength.
