Bike for long tours

The RS concept offers you a great day on the trails. Because low weight, lower energy consumption, and support adapted to the rider's power increase the battery's endurance to more than one and a half times.

Sleek and expandable

Conventional e-bikes have displays, sensors, additional cables, and large switches and buttons as unavoidable standards. But for us, the appearance of a classic, clean bike was a central part of the RS philosophy.

The lightest in its class

RS motor, battery, and electronics are more than half lighter than other e-bike systems. RS describes a new philosophy where Orbea power, range, controls, and weight are understood as an integrated system. With its sleek, reduced, and integrated appearance without bulky parts, it lets you forget the time and experience the trail and the ride even more intensely.

The unique Shimano EP8 RS

For some time, Orbea was searching for the best solution. When Shimano published the plans for its new EP8 motor, they immediately knew: This extraordinary motor offers the perfect platform to implement the RS power concept. In close collaboration, Orbea took care of developing its own electronics and batteries, while Shimano adapted its EP8 motor to run perfectly with its own RS firmware.

Responsive

All the power of the motor is only useful if it is used purposefully. The EP8 RS system delivers its power very smoothly and with top-notch responsiveness.

The Aesthetic of Simplicity

Many athletes spend hours upon hours making their bike a little lighter, eliminating annoying noises, or correcting visual blemishes. The benefits of bike computers and smartphones are undeniable, yet many athletes do not want to screw an oversized display onto the handlebars or top tube.

OMR Frame

OMR frames combine high-modulus and high-strength carbon fibers with a standard layup to optimize the stiffness-to-weight ratio. The use of the so-called bladder-molding process with EPS forms and polyurethane inserts (PU) at the head tube and bottom bracket avoids wrinkles and irregularities in critical areas of the frame. At the same time, carbon can be saved without compromising the strength of the frame.
