The Scorpion™ E-MTB series sets new standards in terms of durability, puncture protection, and battery saving. The Scorpion E-MTB is available in three variants. Three tread patterns: M and R for the best dirt terrain, and S for loose and muddy enduro tracks and steep terrain. A complete range for all eventualities. The innovative and patent-pending HyperWALL construction, which was copied from the Pirelli own motocross tires, is perfectly tailored to the needs of an E-MTB. The Scorpion E-MTB is characterized by its very good ride quality and reliability, especially at low tire pressure. The newly developed SmartGrip+ compound in combination with the material "Lignin" (which is naturally extracted from the paper industry process) tolerates higher loads and torques, thus enabling: better performance, longer lifespan, and more riding fun on your E-MTB.
The R model is a specific design for rear tire use: additional traction that improves pedaling and braking, while increasing abrasion resistance, maintaining consistent performance without compromising rolling speed. Ideally suited for versatile terrain, whether in wet or dry ground conditions. All this with new standards in terms of rubber abrasion resistance and carcass stability, thanks to the new HyperWALL construction. For a balanced riding experience, a combination with the Scorpion E-MTB M model as front tire is best suited.

TREAD
The tread of the Scorpion™ E-MTB R was developed for use on the same terrain as the Scorpion™ E-MTB M, with an average height and spacing of the knobs and a wide range of applications. The specific design of the center knobs, derived from Pirelli's experience in the world of motocross, increases the grip and stability both when braking and pedaling, giving the Scorpion™ E-MTB R a unique level of dynamism and reliability and providing excellent smoothness on mixed terrain.

COMPOUND
SmartGRIP+: DURABLE AND SUSTAINABLE
The new SmartGRIP+ compound tire mixture is an advancement of the material that Pirelli used for its Scorpion MTB. It is produced in the racing factories of Pirelli, where the compounds of the famous F1 tires are also developed.
The innovative feature of this new formula is the addition of lignin to the base mixture. This chemical substance has a natural origin, derived from the paper recycling process. It is an additive with a low environmental impact that enhances the performance of the rubber, particularly in terms of speed and torque properties of modern E-MTBs.
Furthermore, this performance enhancement does not affect any of the other typical properties, such as the chemical grip, of the original SmartGRIP compound.
The result is a version of SmartGRIP that offers superior performance and traction on wet or dry surfaces. All of this is combined with Pirelli's recognized excellence in tire manufacturing. The cyclist benefits from the excellent performance of the new Scorpion E-MTB tires, even at higher speeds and higher torques, which is typical for riding in the e-offroad sector. This combination of properties was developed by Pirelli with the aim of providing advantages in terms of smoothness and grip on uneven terrain with overall improved handling. Riding an E-MTB has never been so much fun.

HYPERWALL
A newly designed, patented construction that further increases handling and reduces the risk of punctures. The key for offroad use. Especially for the most demanding applications like gravity and eMTB, the integrity of the bead area and the stability of the sidewalls is a cornerstone for tire performance.
