The tread of the Scorpion™ Trail R was developed for use on the same terrain as the Scorpion™ Trail M, with an average height and spacing of the blocks and a wide range of applications. The specific design of the center blocks, derived from Pirelli's experience in the world of motocross, increases grip and stability both when braking and pedaling, giving the Scorpion™ Trail R a unique level of dynamism and reliability and providing excellent smoothness on mixed terrain.

COMPOUND
SmartGRIP Compound is an advanced blend developed based on motorsport experience. The single compound solution offers consistently high grip performance on both wet and dry roads, even when the blocks start to wear.

HARDWALL
The structure features bead-to-bead protection and a hard rubber insert directly above the bead for additional reliability during aggressive riding. The multiple reinforcements embedded in the carcass, developed for modern bicycles, aim to either improve structural reliability or provide more support at lower pressure.
