The Spike Race 33 wheels were specifically designed to offer very light, robust, and high-quality wheels for Enduro, Freeride, and Downhill riders. In this case, Spank combined the Spike Race 33 rim with a Spank Hex J-Type hub.

The 29-inch, 32-hole rim is only 28 mm wide, somewhat unusual compared to other hardcore rims, but this results in a smaller contact area for the tyre, significantly reducing rolling resistance. Thanks to the special OohBah rim construction, the occurring force flows are better dissipated, making the rim extremely stable and durable. Additionally, this construction allows for weight optimisation.

The term OohBah describes Spank's exclusive rim profile, which better dissipates the occurring force flows through its special construction, thus avoiding dents. Furthermore, the wall thickness can be adjusted at various points to construct the rim lighter without sacrificing stability.

BeadBite
BeadBite creates an improved seal between the rim bed and tyre bead, preventing any air from escaping, no matter how much the tyre moves. It also ensures that the tyre bead is firmly anchored to the rim bed and cannot slip.
