SQlab 613 R ERGOWAVE® Saddle

Triathletes are resilient, yet saddle discomfort occurs disproportionately often. The extreme seating position combined with long riding sessions is an ergonomic challenge.

The 613 R ERGOWAVE®  shifts the pressure through the raised rear not entirely onto the sit bones but for the first time in triathlon towards the ischial branches. The perineal area is relieved, and the additional support at the back improves power transmission. A positive side effect is that skin irritations are reduced.

Why the adaptation of the SQlab step saddle appeared only five years after the SQlab ERGOWAVE® form lies in the details. The coordination between the position and height of the step in combination with the tapering, the dip, and the width as well as the sloping nose tip meant a very high development effort.

The 613 ERGOWAVE® R does not have just any form, but the perfect form for the most challenging of all seating positions in cycling. A total of 18 years of SQlab experience is embedded in this innovation: from the various sit bone distances, anatomies to solving customer problems, the development of saddles is intended not only to bring more comfort and relief but also to increase performance in competition.
