With the electronic RED eTap AXS, the next revolution in shifting groups from SRAM hits the road. It not only offers a higher range but also smaller gear jumps compared to the previous version. What initially sounds contradictory is made possible by the new X-Range gearing options of the RED DUB crank in combination with the RED 12-speed cassette. Thanks to the 10-tooth sprocket of the cassette, smaller chainrings are sufficient to achieve the same maximum development as with an 11-tooth sprocket. With a wide selection of gearing options and available in 1x and 2x versions, the eTap AXS is just as versatile as the purpose of drop-bar bikes today: From gravel bikes to time trial machines, the suitable RED eTap group can be assembled. The new AXS technology (pronounced "access") offers you the ability to customize the shifting to your personal preferences via the smartphone app, evaluate your shifting behavior, or perform firmware updates. In addition to the freely assignable configuration of all shift buttons, the shifting can also be operated in semi-automatic mode, where the derailleur and front derailleur synchronize independently, and you only need to choose between a lighter and a heavier gear.
