System optimization
The frame set, the wheels, the cockpit and other parts are developed and tested together so that they work as a system. The brand-new OverDrive Aero steerer technology is combined with a Contact SL AeroLight stem and a Contact SL handlebar to integrate internal cable routing, bringing the top cover, cables and spacers together in a more aerodynamic, user-friendly configuration.
Winning efficiency
With a better stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, new aerodynamic tube shapes and a lower overall weight, this uncompromising road bike delivers explosive acceleration and uncompromising pedalling stiffness. The result is winning performance in the decisive moments.
Integrated aerodynamics
All tube shapes are developed using CFD modelling (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and wind tunnel tests. From the cut-off elliptical shape of the frame tubes to the new cockpit design and the integration of the components, this results in a more streamlined profile that improves overall aerodynamic performance compared to the previous generation.
